Climate Change (C3S)

The aim of the Copernicus Climate Change service is to build a European knowledge base in support of adaptation and mitigation policies. The service will provide access to information for monitoring and predicting climate change such as climate indicators and climate indices for both the identified climate drivers and the expected climate impacts.

In November 2014, the European Commission signed a Delegation Agreement with ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) for the implementation of the service. The operational capacity will be reached during the third year of operations and it is currently preceded by a pre-operational stage.
